Keith Averill

Founder and president of Top Tier Managers, LLC

Mr Averill has approximately 15 years of investment experience. Specifically, the majority of his experience is in the analysis of outside separate account money managers, investment portfolio construction & diversification, asset preservation techniques, and investment manager performance evaluation.

Prior to founding Top Tier Managers, LLC, Mr. Averill worked for two of the leading analytical software firms in the investment industry, Zephyr Associates and Pertrac Financial Solutions. At both of these firms he trained investment advisors and consultants how to conduct thorough manager searches, evaluate investment manager skill, blend managers together into well diversified portfolios that match client objectives and evaluate the benefits of alternative asset classes.

Mr. Averill also has extensive research and institutional investment experience. Mr. Averill worked at the Salomon Smith Barney Consulting group as the Sr. analyst where he trained financial consultants on a broad range of investment topics. Along with the previous experience, Mr. Averill was a member of the Lipper Analytical portfolio evaluation and research team where he conducted many research activities for their clients and internal departments.

Mr. Averill holds a BS degree from Biola University in La Mirada CA. He also holds NASD series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
